The 2013 Day of Remembrance will be held on Monday
February 11 at 6:30 at ASEAN Auditorium, Cabot Intercultural
Center, 170 Packard Ave, Medford. The featured speaker is
Takashi Fujitani, Professor of History and the Director in Asian
Pacific Studies at the University of Toronto, Canada. Prof.
Fujitani will discuss the treatment of Japanese Americans
during and immediately after World War II within the context
of the competition of empires, most particularly, the competition
between the US and Japan for dominance in the Asia Pacific.
The program is free and open to the public.
